Excel in the Nuclear Community

From it's founding in 1985, EXCEL Services Corporation has been an active member in the nuclear community.

  • EXCEL is the largest corporate sponsor of the American Nuclear Society (ANS) and has been since 1992. Donald Hoffman, the President and CEO of EXCEL, has served on the ANS Board of Directors, the ANS Board Executive Committee, is currently the Chairman of the Professional Divisions Committee, and has served on many other influential ANS committees. Mr. Hoffman has served as the General Chairman and Vice-Chairman of many ANS meetings, including their national meetings. Other EXCEL associates hold leadership positions in national ANS committees and local ANS chapters. EXCEL strongly supports the ANS's mission to serve its members in their efforts to develop and safely apply nuclear science and technology for public benefit through knowledge exchange, professional development, and enhanced public understanding.

  • Mr. Hoffman is the Chair of the ANS Special Committee on Young Member Development which was responsible for forming the ANS Young Members Group and we continue to support the group in its implementation.

  • Our company is an active corporate member of the European Nuclear Society (ENS) and has exhibited and presented papers at their general meetings. Mr. Hoffman was the General Co-Chair of the 2002 ENC meeting in Lille, France.

  • EXCEL is a founding member of the Eagle Alliance, a non-profit organization dedicated to promoting nuclear science and technology. Mr. Hoffman is the current President of the Eagle Alliance and has participated in several presentations to Congress on the benefits of nuclear science and technology.

  • Our company is an active supporter of the North American Young Generation in Nuclear (NAYGN) and the International Youth Nuclear Congress (IYNC). We have sponsored many of their activities and made presentations at a number of their events.

  • EXCEL is a active member of the Nuclear Energy Institute (NEI) and our associates serve on many of their committees. NEI's goal is to foster and encourage the continued safe utilization and development of nuclear energy to meet the nation’s energy, environmental and economic goals and to support the nuclear energy industry.

  • We support charity events, such as golf tournaments and other fundraising activities, organized by nuclear utilities to benefit children with severe illnesses.

  • At EXCEL, we believe that is the responsibility of every member of the nuclear community to be involved in professional development and public education.

"You cannot escape the responsibility of tomorrow by evading it today." -Abraham Lincoln
